As we move further into these uncertain times of rising fuel costs, financial crisis, global warming and geo-political unrest, big business has become wise to the fact that being seen to be environmentally pro-active can lead to increased consumer trust, which in turn leads to increased profitability.

With the new super powers in the global community, China and India, increasing ownership of cars etc and their increased consumption of energy, it is imperative we find less environment impacting alternatives to the fossil fuels we have been dependent on for so long.

The increased popularity of green issues, has lead to manufacturers pouring billions into research and development of much more environmentally friendly hybrid technologies.

We can only hope this trend continues and environmental issues remain “the flavor of the day”.
